The Environment
All ocean products use materials from fully renewable resources. Rattan is one of the few truly
renewable rain forest products and grows in the tree canopies of the rain forests of South East Asia.
Rattan can not grow without this forest environment and so provides practical encouragement for
rattan harvesters to maintain the primary rain forest on which it is dependant for growth. When
rattan is harvested it naturally re-grows. In short, rattan is truly self generating.

All timber used is harvested from managed forests and our factories are independently audited to
ensure the required quality and good working practices.
